Wei Jiale was born in Erenhot, Inner Mongolia, China in 1997.
Started learning to paint in 2012
2016-2020 Studied experimental art at Xi’an Academy of Fine Arts
2021-Now Studying Fine arts at HFK
Currently studying Fine arts at the University of Fine Arts Bremen, Germany. my works includes video, photography，installation, performance and documentary.
My artworks are based on my own observations and feelings about the current social scene, exploring the interconnections between them and injecting my personal subjective feelings into them, combining locality with the search for appropriate mediums (e.g. installations, images, videos, performance, etc.) to express my art forms visually, and attempting to bring up and discuss relevant topics/issues.
Currently I am focusing on topics such as immigration, population and social structure, and policy.
