The work is called Clothing Fortress, because I wanted to recreate the real state of my family under family planning and to show my documentary ‘Mom, just live like this’ in this installation. Selling these clothes was the only source of income for my family at the time, and they also acted as a ‘barrier’ to protect my family from, for example,
fines. Through this installation, I hope that more people will be able to experience the struggles and difficulties of over-birth families under the family planning policy, and that it will also reflect the reality of
society.
